How To Use Botanical Wax Melts

Using wax melts is a great way to enjoy your favourite scents if candles aren't for you, or if you simply can't decide which candle scent to get!

Here are some tips to help you get the most out of your wax melts:

  • To enjoy your wax melt, simply place it into the well of your wax burner. You can use either one or two melts. Multiple pieces will create a stronger and longer-lasting fragrance.
  • Then, if using a tealight burner, light a four-hour, unscented tea light and place it in the bottom of the burner. You should only use a standard 4-hour unscented tea light as larger 8-hour tea lights can cause the burner to overheat.
  • After a couple of moments, the wax will begin to melt and release its wonderful fragrance into the room.

When you are ready to change it to a new wax melt extinguish the flame and let the wax solidify. Then, light another four-hour unscented tea light, place it in the bottom of your burner, warm it up for 10-20 seconds - gently push the side of the wax and it should slide right out of the dish.

Give the wax warmer a wipe a clean cloth or tissue. That will help ensure that you get the most out of your next scent. Once the warmer is wiped down, you can start melting your new wax scent.

We hope these tips help you get the most out of your eco friendly, botanical wax melts.

Tip: Green Gnome Botanical Wax Melt are suitable for use with electric burners but just be aware that If you are looking for a strong scent you may want to opt for a tealight burner as the flame will allow to wax to melt to a high enough temperature to fully release the fragrance.
